Atlantic Shared Beginnings is a unique program which focuses on affordability and patient access to donor eggs. After acceptance into the program, the patient chooses a sperm source which can be a chosen donor or her own partner and her egg donor. The program offers a guaranteed pregnancy or three embryo transfers. Embryos transferred are good-quality day-five blastocysts. If your eggs do not fertilize or your embryos do not develop, we will provide more eggs to meet the pregnancy or three-transfer guarantee.
The program will fertilize only a minimal number of oocytes during time of fertilization at the discretion of the Center with the intention of obtaining a single embryo for frozen embryo transfer. If failed fertilization occurs after six oocytes are injected via ICSI, an alternate sperm source must be chosen to continue in the program. If failed blastocyst development occurs with two different donor egg sources, an alternate sperm source must be chosen to continue with the program. If more than one blastocyst results from a single fertilization attempt, frozen blastocysts will be transferred for subsequent frozen embryo transfers within the program terms prior to fertilization of new oocytes. If recipient elects to transfer two blastocysts with physician approval, the two-blastocyst transfer will count as two of the three transfers within the program terms. If embryo(s) remain after program completion or program graduation, the embryos may be used by the patient for future treatments and will be excluded from Shared Beginnings program fees. Center will charge the patient separately, and treatments will be billed as itemized fees.
